Resting. I love the glow I'm getting in this roll. I'm not sure if it's due a weak anti-halation layer on the Kentmere Pan 400 (here's an interesting video about it), the uncoated lens of the Canon, maybe some internal haze, or the weather (there was a bit of calima, if I remeber), or probably a mix of everything. In any case I like it—it looks like an intense fog. Some frames, like this one, show quite a few spots; something must have happened during development, I suppose. Nou Barris, Barcelona. Canon A35F. Girl. I tried zone focusing by estimating the distance. I set it to 5m, but after clicking, I thought 'ouch, 5 was too much'... Still, even at such a wide aperture (f/4), it looks sharp enough to me. Nou Barris, Barcelona. Canon A35F. Aperture: f/4. Film: Kentmere Pan 400 (EI 100)
Blinded. In the reflection of the rearview mirror, you could see the top of a building and the sky. I wanted to see if the film could capture that high-contrast scene, showing everything despite the large difference in lighting between the bright and shadowed areas. The information is probably there. With better editing and possibly rescanning more carefully, I could bring it all out. But as a photo, for some reason, I like it much better this way, with the mirror blinding you. So that’s how the picture will stay... even though the lens was focused right on what can't be seen, and the rest ended up blurry... Nou Barris, Barcelona. Canon A35F. Aperture: f/4-f/5.6. Walking. The lens focus was mistakenly set to 2 meters, but thanks to a closed aperture due to strong sunlight, the shot turned out okay thanks to hyperfocal distance. Nou Barris, Barcelona. Canon A35F. Aperture: f/11 - f/16 (?). Film: Kentmere 400 (EI 100)
